Welcome to our little corner of Norfolk — right between Norwich and the Broads.
It’s a brilliant spot because you can dip into the city one day, wander the countryside the next, and still be back at your lodge in time to put your feet up. Norfolk has a way of giving you something different every day, whether that’s a quiet walk, a good meal, or a bit of exploring. It’s the kind of place where you end up making memories without even trying.
Norwich: History, character and good food
Norwich is an easy, gentle city to explore. You can wander past more than 1,500 historic buildings without even realising it. Elm Hill is the one everyone remembers — cobbles, crooked Tudor houses, and a proper old‑world feel that’s been used in films more times than you’d think.
Norwich Castle and the Cathedral are both worth a visit if you like a bit of history. And just off the market square, you’ll find the old Victorian roller‑skating rink, now home to the Country & Eastern collection — a really unique South Asian arts and textiles space tucked inside a building you’d never expect.
The Norwich Lanes are where the city really comes alive: independent shops, local makers, galleries, and one of the best outdoor markets in the country. Whether you’re after street food, a cosy café or somewhere for dinner, you’ll find it without having to look too hard.
Norfolk isn’t just for summer
Winter here has its own magic. Wrap up warm, head to the coast, and you’ll find one of the UK’s most incredible wildlife sights — the Atlantic Grey seals at Horsey Gap. From October to February, the dunes become a nursery for hundreds of pups, and there are designated viewing spots so you can watch them safely. It’s peaceful, raw and unforgettable.
After a cold day out, coming back to your lodge and sinking into a hot tub is honestly one of the best feelings.

There's a Junior Farm and Fun Park to enjoy by all the family. They have 15 different breeds of British livestock, ponies, donkey’s, pigs, rabbits and guinea pigs. Whilst most of their animals stay throughout the seasons, they also welcome different animals for short periods at various times of the year, meaning there are always new animals to meet.

Thrigby Hall Wildlife Park

Thrigby Hall has landscaped gardens, play areas and renowned for its collection of Asian Mammals, birds and reptiles in the pleasantly landscaped grounds and gardens of Thrigby Hall.Attractions for all age groups include Snow Leopards, rare tigers, gibbons, deer otters, crocodiles in a swamp house, avaries, waterfowl, gift shop & cafe. Seals with their pups
Suitable for all the family. Those with limited mobility may find the dune difficult.
Horsey Gap is home to one of the largest colonies of Grey Seals in the UK. Numbers have been steadily increasing with over 3,500 seal pups born along this beautiful stretch of coastline last season.
You can get a close up view of these beautiful creatures, but remember not to get to close as they are wild and come to rest up on our shores. To see these lovely animals, it's just a short walk from along the beach from the main car park.
