Autumn - Spooky Fun and Cosy Evenings

Autumn is now here, I know it’s sad to see the end of summer but lets embrace the Autumn warm tones, fresh mornings and snuggling up with a hot chocolate or unwinding in the hot tub. Here are a few ideas of things to do when you visit us:

Cosy Norfolk Pubs - Poolside Ldoges | Norfolk | Norwich
Cosy Norfolk Pubs

Cosy Pubs:

  • The Brick Kiln is a lovely country Norfolk Pub in Little Plumstead bringing warmth and great food. You will never leave this pub feeling hungry. Great menu choices whether you eat meat or are vegetarian/vegan. Three open fires provide a warm and cosy atmosphere. This pub is our personal favourite and you’ll find us there when we have a free lunch time.

  • The Fur & Feathers Pub is set in a chocolate box thatched cottage in Woodbastwick… lurking behind the pub is Woodfords Brewery (now that’s what you call local beer!) Tasty food and a cosy bar area to sit back, enjoy the beer and catch up with friends and family. A beer lovers heaven!

Halloween Fun

Fairhaven Halloween Spectacular

  • Fairhaven Gardens will be holding a Cirque de Bizarre Halloween Party on 31st October – you’ll find fire eaters, circus artists, storytellers, live music and a finale of fireworks all set in the beautiful woodlands bordering the Broads. A treat for both young and old.

Ghost Tours

  • Norwich Ghost Walks - It’s time to go and scare yourself silly! October is the perfect month to take yourself, your partner or even a small group of friends on a spooky ghost tour, filled with spooky tales and ghoulish fun. Weekly walks run from APRIL to 5 DECEMBER 2019 from the Adam & Eve pub.

Primeval

  • If you really want to be scared, try the region’s biggest scare experience – PRIMEVAL. From 01-03 November prepare to be scared out of your skin... there are different experiences depending on your bravery! Beware of horrific nasty surprises…

Pumpkin Fun

  • Why not visit White House Farm at the bottom of our road and pick you own pumpkin to carve for Halloween. White House Farm also has a lovely café to warm up and sample lots of local produce.

Firework Night

We are lucky enough to have two great fire work displays locally;

  • Rackheath Fireworks Extravaganza is held on Friday 01 November, 6-9pm. A local community display, it certainly provides a delight for your eyes and is well worth a visit. Lots of vendors on site so you can warm yourself with a hot drink & food whilst you enjoy the display.

  • Norwich Big Bang is held on Friday 08 November from 7pm. A feast for your eyes with a magnificent display and illuminations on the castle. Norwich Market and many cafes stay open later so there is plenty of choice for food and drink – make a night of it.
