Frequently asked Questions

How do I book a stay at Poolside Lodges?

Booking your stay at Poolside Lodges is easy, and the best rates and most personal experience are always available when you book direct. You can check live availability on our website, call us on 01603 720000, or email info@poolsidelodges.co.uk and we’ll be happy to help.

If you prefer to book online and are looking for a last‑minute stay outside peak season, you can also find us on Airbnb. Just keep in mind that Airbnb adds its own service fees, and their payment terms differ from ours

What deposit do I need to pay?

To secure your booking, a deposit is required within 2 days of receiving your booking and payment information. The remaining balance is then due 4 weeks before your arrival. Deposit amounts vary depending on your dates, length of stay, and how many lodges you book, and typically range from £75 to £500.

Direct booking payments are made by bank transfer, as card processing fees are quite high and we don’t want to increase your prices any more than necessary.

Are there any other charges payable during my stay?

There are no additional charges during your stay unless any damage is caused. Electricity and heating are included at no extra cost when used thoughtfully, and all linen is provided free of charge — including bed, bath, and kitchen linen.​

What is the check-in & check-out time at Poolside Lodgess?

Check‑in is available from 4:00pm on the day of arrival, giving you plenty of time to settle in and start relaxing. Check‑out is before 10:00am on your departure day, so we can get everything fresh and ready for the next guests. If you’d like to arrive a little earlier or depart a little later, this may be possible. Just let us know at the time of booking and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Please note that additional charges will apply for early check‑in or late check‑out.

Is there parking on site?

Yes, there is parking on site. Our parking area is located just at the rear of the site, right beside your lodge, making unloading and settling in really easy. For added peace of mind, we also have CCTV at the entrance to the site to support safety and security.

How does check‑in work at Poolside Lodges?

We’ll personally greet you when you arrive, help you get settled into your lodge, and walk you through how to use the hot tub (and the pool during the open season) safely and confidently. Our aim is to make your arrival smooth, relaxed, and stress‑free so you can start enjoying your stay straight away. For guests arriving outside of our usual hours, key boxes are available for easy self‑check‑in.

What's included in your stay?

Your stay includes everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing break. All bed linen is provided, including sheets, duvets and pillows. Towels are supplied for everyday use, though we recommend bringing extra towels for the pool and hot tub. If you request a travel cot, please bring your own cot bedding.

To help you settle in, each lodge includes a selection of useful essentials:

  • Washing‑up liquid, cloth and tea towel

  • Dishwashers in our family lodges, plus dishwasher tablets

  • Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, cooking oil, salt and pepper

  • Complimentary toilet rolls on arrival (guests are asked to bring any extras needed)

There is no additional charge for electricity, and we kindly encourage guests to use heating and hot water responsibly to support the environment.

 

​​All guests enjoy free Wi‑Fi throughout their stay.

Can I charge my electric car at Poolside Lodges?

Poolside Lodges don’t currently offer EV charging on site, but are conveniently located close to the Gridserve charging hub, just over 3 miles away. It offers rapid charging, along with refreshments and comfortable rest facilities, making it an easy stop during your stay.

Use of Facilities

SWIMMING POOL

When is the pool open at Poolside Lodges?

Our outdoor swimming pool is open from the beginning of May until the end of September each year. During the open season, the pool is heated and available for guests to enjoy from 9:30am to 9:30pm. For whole‑site bookings, we’re able to offer extended swimming hours.

From October through to the end of April, the pool is closed, securely covered at ground level and fenced off to prevent access.

What are the pool rules at Poolside Lodges?

To keep everyone safe and ensure the pool area is enjoyable for all guests, we kindly ask are guests to follow these important guidelines:

  • All children and non‑swimmers must be supervised at all times while in the pool area.

  • Non‑swimmers should use appropriate swim aids, provided by guests.

  • No lone swimming is permitted.

  • Diving is not allowed.

  • The pool has a uniform depth of 1.3m and no shallow end.

  • The pool is unlifeguarded, so adults from each lodge are responsible for the safety of everyone in their group.

  • Please remember that pools can be dangerous if care isn’t taken, so we ask all guests to follow these rules for a safe and enjoyable swim.

HOT TUBS

When are the hot tubs available at Poolside Lodges?

Our hot tubs are available all year round, giving you the chance to relax in warm, bubbling water whatever the season. Each lodge has its own private hot tub, and we ensure they are cleaned, maintained and ready for you on arrival.

How are the hot tubs Poolside Lodges at maintained?

We take great care to ensure our hot tubs are kept clean, safe and ready for you to enjoy. Water quality is maintained using chlorine and are hot tubs are checked daily to meet the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

We kindly ask all guests to take reasonable care and follow the hot tub rules and conditions of hire throughout their stay.

​

For excellent hygiene, a guests hot tub may be drained and refilled on the day of arrival. If this happens, it may take a little time to reach full temperature, especially during the winter months. We always do our best to ensure it’s warm and ready for you on arrival or shortly after.

Other Facilities

Is there a BBQ at Poolside Lodges?

Yes - we have a large stone charcoal BBQ located in the shared garden area for all guests to enjoy. We provide all the BBQ utensils, so you’ll just need to bring your own charcoal and your favourite food to cook.

Is there a Games Room at Poolside Lodges?

Yes — we have a retro‑inspired games room for all guests to enjoy, filled with family‑friendly games suitable for all ages. You’ll find a full‑size air hockey table, a multi‑game arcade machine featuring classics like PAC‑MAN and Space Invaders, along with fun favourites such as Crazy Frog and Spider Stomper. It’s a great space for a bit of friendly competition and nostalgic fun.

Poolside Lodges is a popular choice for group celebrations in Norfolk, offering comfortable lodges, private hot tubs and shared social spaces ideal for birthdays, reunions and relaxed get‑togethers. With a heated outdoor pool (open May–September), a retro games room and spacious garden areas, it’s easy for groups to celebrate, unwind and enjoy quality time together.

For whole‑site bookings, you’ll have exclusive use of the grounds and extended pool hours, creating the perfect setting for memorable group stays.

Poolside Lodges comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests across three double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms, making it a great option for families and friends looking to stay together in one place.
