HOT TUB USAGE

FOR WOODSIDE, STUDIO and WHOLE SITE BOOKINGS

Please read these conditions carefully.  It is important for your own safety to follow these guidelines:

 

Using a hot tub can be relaxing and fun, please adhere to the guidance below as this will ensure that all parties have an enjoyable and SAFE experience.

  • Children should not use hot tubs without adult supervision.

  • Temperatures between 38°C and 40°C are considered safe for a healthy adult. Lower water temperatures are recommended for children and when hot tub use exceeds 10 minutes 

 

HEALTH WARNINGS:

  • Any guests with health concerns MUST consult their GP before using our hot-tubs. Particularly persons suffering from diabetes, obesity, heart disease and cardiovascular conditions, low/high blood pressure, circulatory problems, etc

  • Any guests using medication MUST consult their GP before using our hot-tubs, particularly medicines that are likely to cause drowsiness, affect heart rate, circulation or blood pressure.

  • Guests taking medication that can cause drowsiness (such as tranquillisers, anti-coagulants, anti-histamines and so on) MUST NOT use our hot-tubs.

  • Pregnant women are advised not to use hot-tubs for their own safety as well as that of their baby.

  • Any guest using our hot-tubs with conditions mentioned in the above 4 points does so at their own risk. Poolside Lodges will NOT accept any liability for any illness or injury sustained during use against this advice. If in any doubt, guests should consult their GP prior to use.

 

CHILDREN:

  • Children must be supervised at all times, in and around the hot tub.  Children, in particular young children, cannot regulate their temperature.  Children under the age of 4 years should not use a hot tub at all due to the risk of overheating, drowning or dehydration.  Only children who can keep their head above the water level when sitting down can use the hot tub.

  • Children (and adults) should avoid dehydration by drinking water while using the hot tub.

 

CARE WHEN USING HOT TUB

  • To avoid injury, exercise care when entering or exiting the hot tub.

  • Do not put bubble bath, washing-up liquid, soap, perfumes or any other chemicals in the hot tub.  This may redsult in a chemicla reaction.

  • Please be aware that the steps surrounding the hot-tub can become slippery when wet, due care and attention is advised. Poolside Lodges will accept no liability for any slips, trips or falls due to the aforementioned conditions. Also, please do not jump into or out of the hot-tub.

  • Guests should NOT eat, smoke or consume alcohol whilst in the hot-tub.

  • Guests MUST NOT use glassware in or around the hot-tub (please use the plastic glasses provided)

  • Do NOT use any electrical equipment in or around the hot-tub, including mobile telephones. An exclusion zone of five feet is advised.

  • Before use, please carefully remove the hot-tub cover and replace it after use as per instructions given on your arrival. Failure to follow these guidelines may incur an extra cost for additional water heating or any damage.

  • Guests using hot-tubs MUST shower prior to use. This prevents any foreign particles or chemicals (such as deodorants or body lotions) entering the hot-tub that could upset the water chemistry.

  • All fake tan must be removed prior to using the hot tub - wearing fake tan will result in very poor water quality and can damage the internal equipment of the hot tub.  It also results in the hot tub having to be flushed through several times to remove the tan stains from internal pipes and can impact on following guests.  Those not adhering to this will be charged an additional £50 cleaning charge.

  • Guests also agree to ensure that NO foreign materials enter the hot-tub (such as grass, soil, cigarette filters, etc); this ensures that the hot-tub will be enjoyable and achieve maximum performance.

  • Guests MUST NOT allow the hot-tub water level to fall below the uppermost jets; this can damage the pump.

  • Please do not over load the hot-tub; this may cause damage for which guests would be liable. Maximum occupancy is      4 people in the Studio hot tub and 6 people in the Woodside hot tub.

  • Any damage caused by misuse or non-compliance with the conditions of hire WILL BE PAID FOR BY THE GUEST.

  • Guests will read and abide by these conditions. If anything is unclear or there is cause for concern, guests should contact us immediately.
